Ready for a weekend road trip down to some of Baja California’s up-and-coming hidden gems? The mission? To drink all the wine to your heart’s content in the burgeoning vineyard region of the Guadalupe Valley.

We will complete many other missions on this most epic of field trips, of course. After a couple wine tastings to kick off the weekend, we’ll enjoy a multi-course feast that’s grown fresh on local farms by award winning chefs with some dishes so pretty you won’t want to eat them. You' won’t feel bad after you see how delicious it all tastes! To finish off the night, we’ll gather round a fire to enjoy some more wine with new friends.

The next day, we’ll go for a huge home cooked breakfast to cure whatever bit of hangover might be lurkin’. Once our bellies are nice and full we’ll do one last tasting and take in the scenery of the Valle. Last, we’ll follow our noses to a delicious taco stand, where piles of gloriously cooked carne asada, carnitas, or cheese (four our vegetarian friends) atop warm tortillas await us. All in all, the perfect LA getaway after a long week at the office.

2 Day Price Includes:

  • Transportation to and from US/MX border to and around the wine country (take the Amtrak or hop in your car with some friends)

  • Personal translator

  • One night hotel stay

  • All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners

  • 3 wine tastings

  • 2 Cheese tastings

*Rooms are double occupancy, but single occupancy can be arranged for an additional fee

* Meals do not include alcoholic beverages

*Travel insurance is not included - we’ve partnered with Wanderwell for all your travel insurance needs. At least one percent of your insurance purchase price will be given to TreePeople, a 1% for the Planet nonprofit verified to be making a positive environmental impact.

¡Qué delicioso!

You don't even know, just put it in your mouth. The Valle is one of the most intriguing destinations for food right now. We provide ALL the food and we’ll take you to some super delicious spots where the food is almost too pretty to eat!

But, don’t just take our word for it…

What an adventure! Thank you to Andrew and Natalie for curating a most memorable and authentic trip. I rounded up a few girlfriends for the Baja Weekender to celebrate my birthday and we all had an epic time! It was easy, affordable, and a great value for the experience & expertise that Andrew brought to the trip. He was not only our tour guide and translator, but he connected with each of us individually while bringing a cohesive energy to our entire group. Our stops at various vista points, wineries, and eateries were all perfectly paired. In fact, Andrew went above and beyond to help add an additional day of activities for me & my friends. I felt completely taken care of and no detail was spared for our extended itinerary! I can’t wait to travel with Coast to Costa again and again!!

Would 100% recommend a Coast to Costa trip! I recently went on the Baja trip & had the best experience. Andrew & his wife, Natalie, are super easy to talk to, well traveled & all around cool people. They make the whole group feel super comfortable & like instant friends. Perfect opportunity to meet fun, like-minded, creative people. The wineries in Guadalupe Valley were breathtaking. Cannot wait to go back!

I have gone on two trips with Cost to Costa and I can’t rave enough about these trips. I am not a fan of group travel, but they are an exception. You truly feel like you are traveling with family and off the beaten pack. I have done the Baja Wine Tasting and Cuba trips and have made friends and life-long memories from both! Stop reading and book a trip!

Got questions? We got answers!

1) WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Basically everything! We will meet up with the group and walk over the border together into Tijuana where our private driver will be waiting patiently for us. From there we’ll be having amazing lunch from young chefs in food truck in vineyards, delicious organic wine tastings, 6 course dinner under the stars at a famous chef’s 5 star restaurant, one night’s stay in our fabulous boutique hotel….and that’s just day ONE! The next day we’ll have traditional homemade farm to table breakfast to start the day, wash it down with some more wine (you’re on vacation!) and hit some local shopping for some cute souvenirs before our driver safely drives us along the scenic seafront highway, quick stop for one last meal of BOMB street tacos and drops us off to walk back to the U.S. side. It’s only 2 days but it definitely feels like you’ve been on a full on Mexican vacation!

3) What’s so special about valle/baja?

All of the hype is totally true! First off, it’s only 1.5 hour drive past the border but it feels like you’re totally in another place. You get the real travel feeling, you know? Secondly, there is amazing wine, food and awesome fellow travelers to share the weekend. with. It’s some of the best food in all of Mexico and it’s all there waiting for us. Plus, you’ll be home before your boss knows you’re gone!

5) WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE?

Depending on the time of year. It’s very similar to Los Angeles or San Diego weather. It’s super close to the coast, so it doesn’t get too hot normally and you get a nice ocean breeze. Basically, it’s freakin’ perfect!!

7) How far is it from la or san diego?

Its so close you’ll wonder why you haven’t visited before. From LA, it takes about about 2 hours if you leave early to San Ysidro, where we all meet up. If you’re in San Diego, it’s like 30 minutes. The least long drive possible. From our meeting point, it’s 1.5 hours. Super close.

2) SO GROUP TRAVEL, EH??

We know what you’re thinking…am I going to like traveling with people I don’t know?? We have been doing this for the past 7 years now and the answer, every time, is YES! When else as an adult can you meet a group of people all with one very major thing in common, the love of travel?! We have introduced a ton of new best friends, romantic relationships, a couple who is applying for a fiancé visa and even an engagement. We forget in this technology filled day and age that people like being around people. Also, there is plenty of time for relaxing and solo time built into our itinerary in case you need to recharge! We’ve got all the angles covered.

4) where do we meet?

We always meet up with our groups at a meeting spot in San Ysidro, on the U.S. side of the border. Once the whole group arrives and we’ve all met each other and make sure everyone has their passports (don’t forget!) we walk across the pedestrian bridge over the border wall. Right when we get to the other side, our private driver is there with our shiny air conditioned van. We plus in our jams and head out!

6) WHAT’S UP WITH THE FOOD THERE?

O.M.G. The food in the Valle de Guadalupe in the arguably the best in Mexico, and Mexico has some damn good food! We will be eating our way through the entire valley. They won’t know what hit them. From gourmet food trucks in the middle of a vineyard, to homemade farm fresh breakfast, to a 5 star tasting menu under the stars, you will come home feeling like you ate some amazing examples of very different types of Mexican cuisine. Oh yeah, we’ll also be drinking wine like the whole time…how could we forget?

You want more, huh?

We got you. Check out photos from some of our past trips:
